The Heavyweight Series: Why We Built It and What Comes Next

The Heavyweight Series was not built to fill a gap in the market. It was built because the products we wanted to wear did not exist.

The Brief

Premium cotton. Structured enough to hold its shape through a session and after a hundred washes. Heavy enough to feel substantial without being restrictive. A silhouette that works in the gym and does not look out of place anywhere else.

Simple brief. Not easy to execute. Most gym apparel is made from synthetic performance fabrics — polyester, nylon, blends. They wick moisture, they are cheap to produce, and they feel thin. That is fine for athletic performance. It is not what we were after.

We wanted cotton. Real cotton. The kind that has weight and structure from the first time you put it on and does not lose either after repeated washing. That meant custom-milling fabric to the specification we needed — 300GSM, tight weave, consistent hand feel across the range.

The Two Pieces

The Heavyweight Global Tee is built around a clean, structured silhouette. It sits well on the body without being fitted to the point of restriction. Available in black and white.

The Heavyweight Muscle Tee takes the same 300GSM fabric into a relaxed, open silhouette. More movement through the shoulders. A stronger visual line. Same fabric, different feel.

Both are part of the same series. Both are built to the same standard.

What Comes Next

The Heavyweight Series is the first. We do not do seasons. We do not refresh the same product with a new colourway and call it a new drop. When the next series comes, it will be because it meets the same standard the Heavyweight Series was built to — not because a calendar said it was time.

When that happens, this blog will be the first place it is announced.
